Business Development & Community Outreach Partner

FLAME Candle Studios is seeking a proactive, personable, and resourceful individual to help expand our business relationships throughout Winter Haven and the surrounding communities.
We are looking for a natural connector who enjoys communicating with people, identifying opportunities, and introducing businesses and organizations to experiences that bring people together.
What you’ll help with
- Identify potential corporate clients, hotels, hospitality businesses, real estate professionals, event planners, churches, nonprofits, and community organizations.
- Make introductory business calls and send outreach emails.
- Follow up with prospective clients and decision-makers.
- Schedule qualified meetings and conversations for the founder.
- Help identify opportunities for corporate gifting, employee appreciation, private candle-making experiences, special events, and community partnerships.
- Maintain an organized record of outreach and follow-up.
What we’re looking for
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence making professional calls and initiating conversations.
- Organization, dependability, and consistent follow-through.
- A genuine interest in supporting a growing local business.
- Sales, networking, marketing, or community engagement experience is helpful but not required.
How the role works
Your primary responsibility is opening doors and scheduling qualified meetings. The founder of FLAME Candle Studios will lead the meetings, develop relationships, and discuss potential business arrangements.
We are initially exploring a small, clearly defined engagement with an initial two-week outreach project budget of $15/hr as well as suitable community partnerships and student project arrangements. The specific scope, compensation, and working terms will be discussed transparently before any work begins.
